Terms & Conditions

This web site is provided by Friends of Christ Church Students' Union Association (Friends), as a service to its members, the former students and staff of Christ Church Students’ Union. We hope it will provide a useful way of keeping in touch with the Students' Union and with each other. Use of the web site is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Membership
Membership is open to all, apart from current students’ of Canterbury Christ Church University.

Membership as an ordinary member is conditional upon payment of the subscription fee. The annual rate of subscription shall be set by the Officers of the Association from time to time, but may be varied by a general meeting, through ordinary resolution. The current annual subscription fee is set at £20.00 payable by Standing Order.

Friends reserves the right to check all membership applications.

Friends reserve the right to refuse membership. An application for membership shall only be declined if the Officers believe in good faith that to subscribe the applicant as a member would be against the best interests of the Association as a whole. The Officers must write to the applicant to explain the reasons for such a decision. An applicant may appeal against the decision of the Officers at the next AGM of the Association, and the decision of the meeting, by ordinary resolution, shall be final.

Members agree not to submit information that is deemed offensive, libellous or illegal. Friends reserves the right to remove any such information, and /or to remove the member altogether at its sole discretion.
